 Welcome to the Country Food and Dining website! The aim of the Country Food & Dining concept is to provide our customers with the opportunity to experience not only a high standard of farm shop retailing but also the complementary offering of dining within the same premises. A niche in the market has been identified in that people may eat locally-sourced food in country pubs and enjoy fine food retailing in farm shops but the two activities have rarely been combined – until now! There is an increasing consumer demand for fresh, locally-sourced food with as low a carbon footprint and ‘food-miles’ as possible. A further part of these changing consumer aspirations is a relatively new curiosity about the provenance of the food they are purchasing and a genuine desire to support local producers. Focussing on the provision of local and regional food offers the Country Food & Dining concept the opportunity to establish a unique selling point on a number of levels, including taste, freshness, variety, seasonality, heritage, social commitment and local employment.
